TUIO provides flexible tools to help you filter data and generate reports for a variety of use cases—such as accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and monthly bookkeeping.

Using Filters in TUIO

To get started, click the Filters button (funnel icon) located to the right of the search bar. TUIO offers a wide range of filters to help you narrow down data quickly and efficiently. Here are the most commonly used filters and their typical use cases:

  • Program
Filter by a specific program (e.g. field trips, hot lunches). If you're using grouped programs, you can use the Program Group filter instead.

  • Paid Date From / Paid Date To
Ideal for cash-based accounting. This filter shows only the invoices paid within a specific date range—either by parent transaction or manual payment entry (e.g. cash or cheque).

  • Payment Method
View invoices based on how they were or are scheduled to be paid (e.g. credit card, bank account).

  • Show Only Overdue Invoices
Instantly see which invoices are past due—a helpful tool for collections or follow-ups.

  • Issued Invoices
    Choose to view:

    • Only invoices that have been issued,

    • Upcoming invoices (not yet sent),

    • Or all invoices (both issued and unissued).

  • Search Bar
Use the text search to locate invoices by parent name, student name, invoice name, or any other keyword.

Exporting Filtered Data to Excel

Once you've applied your desired filters, you can export the results to Excel by clicking the Export button.

While you can export all data at once, it's often more useful to apply filters first—especially when preparing reports for specific purposes like:

  • Monthly financial reconciliations

  • Reviewing payments for a particular program

  • Tracking overdue invoices

  • Generating account summaries for year-end reporting

Filtering before exporting ensures your spreadsheet includes only the most relevant data, saving you time during review.
