e. What is the TUIO Dashboard and How to Use It
On TUIO, the ability to view a snapshot of your payments has been a core feature since our launch, and with the search bar of the Invoices tab you can still identify many options to keep track of payments.
The Dashboard
In an effort to make information clearer and more accessible, we built the Dashboard, a tool for you to oversee the health of your payments in a more efficient manner. The Dashboard includes graphs, charts, and important numbers. Everything presented on the Dashboard is interactable - just click and/or hover over any figures - giving you access to even more detail from the Invoices tab automatically.
The Dashboard has 4 main elements to go over:
- 1
Summary Section
The first 4 blocks you can see on the Dashboard are numbers calculated using invoice data on TUIO.
- Collected shows the total payments collected over a relevant date range. Clicking it will show you all the payments paid online or marked otherwise between the aforementioned date and the date you clicked it.
- Payment in Progress shows the bank account transactions that are currently in progress and, if applicable, any refunded transaction in progress. On TUIO, bank account payments take 3 days to clear as paid, however this figure will help you get an idea of what is expected to come in relation to the due dates. Clicking it will show you all the transactions with status 'In Progress'.
- Future Credit Card & Bank Account Payments
- Having 100% adoption of parents paying online should be the ultimate goal to maximize the capability of both the Dashboard and the TUIO platform overall. For example, this helps to take advantage of automation to create tax receipts for parents based on TUIO data.
- Clicking the block for online payments will allow you to see all the related invoices in-depth.
- No Payment Method
- Clicking the block for 'no payment method' will allow you to see all the related invoices in-depth, send reminders, send an approval request again, or 'mark as paid' the invoice.

Monthly Payment History & Projections Section
This section provides an overview of the monthly payments for a year, with past months showing the history of payments, and future months showing projections. This will help you get an idea of what to expect in the upcoming months and allow you to forecast amounts for budgeting purposes, or give you applicable projections to look into any financing you may want to achieve. Also, this offers a clear visual of the payments that have occurred or are occurring in real time, allowing you to further engage with your payment process.
The bar graph shows the amounts Paid, Payment in Progress, and No Payment Method for each month. One way you can make use of it is to click in the bar for the month to find the invoices with No Payment Method attached. Then you can work on them directly to see if a parent needs specific attention in a given month.
If you want to see the total amount paid in a month, you can click the green bar and get directed to the invoices screen, with full detail breaking down this amount. For future months, the graph will show the Future Credit Card & Bank Account Payments that are automated to process on the due dates, as well as the invoices with No Payment Method attached. This No Payment Method number is still useful, because it should still give you an idea of expected payments.
This specific example has no data for summer and the new school year, because students have yet to be enrolled in Summer Programs or Re-enrollment Programs. To best utilize the Dashboard, prioritize the creation of these programs ahead of time which will populate the graph and give you a better handle on financial activities at the school.

Invoice Status by Payment Method Type Section
Here shows the different payment method types and the status of them on TUIO. The sum of the all Paid status in green will match the Collected summary block amount and you can click on any type amount to show the full detail of payments under that status and payment type. The Payment in Progress portion is for bank account payments and will line up with the amount in the Payment in Progress summary block. Overdue status will show the invoices from September 1st to current date that are pending payment or on hold. Having quick & easy access to identify and resolve overdue amounts will help keep your account up to date.

Payment Method Type Section
Last but not least, the pie charts are showing the percentages of payments on TUIO collected for the current school year to date, by type, and the percentages for upcoming payments. These charts will allow you to analyze the types of payment methods parents are using and see the unique mix your school is processing.
Here the chart shows a high percentage of credit card payments collected, both historically and expected in the future. Keeping note of these trends in payment method type can be useful knowledge to better understand your parents, and as you move toward collecting all payments online the mix between bank account and credit card will become more discrete.
