e. Set Payment Plan Bulk Edit and How to Split Amounts Between Parents

Sometimes payments will need to be split up between multiple parties for billing. If you need to split amounts between, for instance, parents who are separated, TUIO can accommodate that at any split breakdown (50/50, 70/30, etc).

In TUIO, you can attach the same student to multiple parents by selecting Create Enrollment in the Enrollments tab and creating a student enrollment with parent information of the 1st parent for a given program. After that you can create an additional enrollment with the same student name, but by entering a new parent email (clicking add new parent), first and last name you can add a 2nd parent's information for a given program, without overwriting the 1st parent's information.

Now that you have 2 student entries for the same student - one for parent 1 and the other for parent 2 - you can assign the amounts they have to split by selecting Set Payment Plan for each of the parents and bulk editing price; filling in the amounts that each parent needs to pay. The effective end result is that each parent has an account and makes payments depending on the agreed-upon amount.
