Use the filters to choose the activity you need before exporting. ### Filter and export 1. Open **Invoices**, then select the **Transactions** tab. 2. Set the filters you need. Open **More filters** for additional options, including **Completed date**. 3. Review the filtered results, then choose **Export** from the list's menu. The CSV follows the applied filters. | Filter | Use it for | | --- | --- | | Type | Choose Payment or Refund. | | Status | Separate Successful, In progress or Failed transactions. | | Payment method | Limit results to a method, such as Bank account or Credit card. | | Initiated date | Find transactions started during a period. | | Completed date | Find transactions resolved during a period. This is different from the invoice due date and bank deposit date. | Check both date filters before exporting. If you set both, a transaction must match both ranges. ### Examples - **Completed refunds:** select Type = Refund, Status = Successful and the Completed date range. For all refund attempts, leave Status unfiltered and review the status column in the CSV. - **Failed bank payments:** select Type = Payment, Payment method = Bank account and Status = Failed. Review Transaction Error to investigate the reason. A failed bank payment is not necessarily an insufficient-funds (NSF) return. - **Fees and processor returns:** fees are included in the transaction fee columns, not a separate Type option. For processor-level returns, fees and account adjustments, use the [Processor Activity Report](https://support.tuiopay.com/how-to-use-the-processor-activity-report?hsLang=en), where available. The Transactions export is not a complete NSF-fee billing statement. ### Understand the CSV columns The export includes invoice context alongside each transaction. Do not add repeated invoice totals as though each row were a new invoice. Blank fields can mean the value does not apply or is not yet available. | Column or group | Meaning | | --- | --- | | Organization, Currency | The school and currency for the record. Keep currencies separate when totaling amounts. | | Invoice ID, Description, Invoice Due Date (ET), Invoice Status, Program | The invoice and program associated with the transaction. | | Student First Name, Student Last Name, Parent First Name, Parent Last Name, Parent Email Address | The student and parent associated with the invoice. | | Transaction ID, Transaction Type, Transaction Status, Payment Method | The transaction identifier, whether it is a payment or refund, its outcome and the method used. | | Invoice Subtotal, Sales Tax, Sales Tax Name, Price after Sales Tax, Invoiced Payment Method Discount, Invoice Total | Invoice-level amounts, tax and payment-method discount. These can repeat across transactions for the same invoice. | | Parent Service Fee, Covered Parent Fee, Covered Subtotal, Covered Sales Tax | The parent fee, subtotal and sales-tax amounts allocated to this transaction. Parent Service Fee and Covered Parent Fee represent the same fee allocation, so do not add them together. | | Transaction Initiated Date (ET), Transaction Completed Date (ET) | When the transaction started and when it resolved, shown in Eastern Time. | | Transaction Amount | The amount of this payment or refund. Use Transaction Type and Status when interpreting totals. | | Transaction Fee Subtotal, Transaction Fee Tax Name, Transaction Fee Tax, Transaction Fee | The processing fee before tax, applicable tax details and total transaction fee. The total already includes its subtotal and tax. | | Net Payout | The transaction's payout amount after applicable fees. This is different from a bank deposit total. | | Transaction Deposited Date (ET), Transaction Deposited Amount, Transaction Deposit Reference | Available deposit information associated with the transaction. A shared deposit amount can repeat across rows, so do not sum it blindly. | | Transaction Note, Transaction Error | Notes and error information associated with the transaction. | | Processor | The payment processor associated with the transaction, where applicable. | For matching deposits to your bank statement, follow the [Starter](https://support.tuiopay.com/exporting-transactions-and-reconciling-deposits-starter-package?hsLang=en) or [Professional reconciliation guide](https://support.tuiopay.com/exporting-transactions-and-reconciling-deposits-professional-package?hsLang=en). A transaction export and a bank statement answer different questions.
