How to Update Form Submissions
This video walks you through the key points — it’s the best way to understand everything in just a couple of minutes.
How to Regenerate a Form PDF After Making Changes
If you need to update a form submission—such as correcting a field or modifying the form layout—you can do so without asking the parent to resubmit the form. Instead, you can use the Regenerate PDF feature to create a new version of the form that reflects the latest updates.
When to Use Regenerate PDF
You might want to regenerate a form PDF in the following situations:
-
Correcting a Field Response:
For example, if a student’s name was submitted incorrectly, go to the student’s profile and update the relevant field(s). Then use Regenerate PDF to generate a new version of the form with the correct information. -
Editing the Form Layout:
If you’ve made changes to the form’s layout—such as repositioning fields using the Field Editor—you can regenerate the PDF to apply those layout updates to an existing submission.
Where to Regenerate a PDF
You can regenerate a form PDF from two locations:
-
Registrations Tab – Locate the submission and select Regenerate PDF.
-
Forms Tab > Submissions Section – Choose the submission you want to update and select Regenerate PDF.
Download Options
After regenerating the PDF, you can choose:
-
Confirm and Download – Immediately download the updated PDF.
-
Confirm Only – Regenerate the PDF now and download it later, either individually or in bulk.
Best Practice
Before using Regenerate PDF, it's a good idea to download the original version of the form for your records. This ensures you have a snapshot of the initial submission before making any updates.
