🆕TUIO 2026.2.2 - What's New
Introduces Attendance Classes in beta, improvements to credit imports
🏫 Organization Experience
- Attendance Classes (Beta)
- This release introduces the first part of a new Attendance feature: the ability to create and manage classes. This is currently in beta and available to a limited number of organizations for testing and feedback.
- For organizations with access, a new Attendance tab will appear in the main sidebar navigation. From there you can view existing classes or create new ones.
- Each class can be configured with an optional maximum student capacity, optional start and end dates, and an optional location (for example, “Room 121”). Classes that exceed their capacity limit are highlighted on the main class list so they are easy to spot. At this stage, classes are independent of programs and billing.
- Students can be placed into classes in several ways: from the Students tab within a class, by selecting students individually or in bulk from the Students page, or from the Enrollments page. Only active students can be placed in a class. When placing students, you can set their placement dates — how long they are part of that class — with options for no dates, the class’s own dates, or a custom range.
- Each placement shows a status based on its dates: Scheduled (start date in the future), Active (currently within the placement dates), or Ended (past end date). Deleted placements are also tracked but do not count toward class occupancy.
- A new Classes section is now visible on each student’s profile, showing all classes they have been placed in.
- Exports are available from each class. A class list export (basic placement information) can be downloaded using the options menu on the class list or within an individual class. Student data and student & parent data can also be exported from the Students tab within a class.
- Access to the Attendance feature is permission-based. Administrators with full access can view, create, and manage classes and student placements. Other staff members require the appropriate read or write permissions for classes and student data, which can be configured in your organization’s permission settings.
- Credit Import Improvements
- The Import Credits wizard now supports the student custom identifier as a field mapping option, giving you more flexibility when matching import data to existing student records.
- Imported credits are now automatically given a descriptive name based on their credit type, month, and year (for example, “Subsidy – January 2026”). If no credit type is assigned, the name defaults to “Credit – Month – Year”. This makes it easier to identify credits at a glance.
- Other Improvements
- The labels on the transaction fee columns in organization settings have been updated for clarity. “Base parent fee” is now labelled “Parent service fee”, and “Include processing fees in parent fee” is now “Bundle processing costs into service fee”.
- The payment method selection screen on family-facing payment pages now displays with an improved border style for better visual clarity.
- Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the wrong version of the receipt notification email was sent, meaning some organization administrators may have received duplicate notifications that their receipts were ready to download.
- Fixed an issue where the registration link for an archived program could still be opened, potentially allowing new registrations for programs that were no longer active.
- Fixed a display issue on donation receipts where the paid-to date was shown as one day later than the actual date.
