🆕TUIO 2026.7.2 - What's New
Program groups become program categories with their own shareable registration pages, a new Processor activity report, expanded conversation controls, and a wide set of improvements across credits, imports, transactions and emails.
General
- The Add payment method dialog now asks for an Account holder name (required, up to 22 characters) when adding a bank account. It starts blank rather than being pre-filled with the TUIO account name.
- Fixed form pages being cut off on the right on phones. Field outlines, editor toolbars, long question labels and checkbox/radio option text now stay inside the card, and the header logo is centred. This affects the parent form fill, the registration workflow form step, and other pages using the same card layout.
- Fixed date fields being too narrow throughout the app, which clipped longer labels such as Transaction initiation date and Transaction completion date on the Pay invoice and Refund dialogs.
- Fixed registration and form PDFs taking a ong time to generate. They now generate in a few seconds again.
Parent Experience
- Students now shows just the student cards. The filters, keyword search and sorting have been removed.
- Enrollments keeps the keyword search only, and is always ordered by enrollment ID with the newest first. The payment method and Show archived filters and the sort dropdown have been removed.
- Forms > Submissions keeps the keyword search only, and is always ordered by submission date with the newest first.
Organization Experience
Program categories
- Program groups have been renamed to Program categories throughout, and a program can now be linked to multiple categories instead of just one.
- On the Programs list, the Program groups column is now Categories and lists each category the program belongs to. Because a program can belong to several categories, this column can no longer be sorted.
- The Manage groups button on the Programs list is now Manage categories.
- A category can now have its own registration link with its own shareable URL, in the same way individual programs do. Opening it shows an entry page listing the programs in that category, in the order you set, so families can pick the one they want and continue into that program's normal registration workflow.
- Only programs enabled for online registrations appear on the page, and families sign in the same way as they do on a normal registration.
- The registration link is off by default for each category. The link is unavailable if the category's link is disabled or the organization isn't set up to process payments, in which case visitors see the disabled view instead. App admins can always use the link.
- A program's date range on the category page now displays the same way it does on the Programs list.
- The Program categories dialog lets you create categories and click into an existing one to edit it. Each row shows the category name with the number of programs linked to it, whether its registration link is enabled, and options to copy or open its access page.
- Inside a category you can add programs (multi-select), reorder them into the order they appear on the entry page, remove them, search by program name, and click a program name to open it.
- The list can be filtered by whether the registration link is Enabled or Disabled, and Show deleted lets you restore a deleted category.
- The Program categories field on Program > Settings and on the Add program dialog now offers Create program category and Manage categories options, so you can do both without leaving the page.
- On Program > Settings, category changes are now applied when you save the form rather than the moment you pick them, so cancelling discards them.
- Deleting a category does not delete the programs in it, and disabling a category does not affect registering directly from an individual program.
Processor activity report
- A new Processor report under Reports > Transactions shows the activity your payment processor recorded and links it back to the matching TUIO transactions. It isn't shown for organizations whose payment processor doesn't support it.
- Choose a date range, always in Eastern time and based on the processor's dates rather than the TUIO transaction dates, then press Generate to build the report.
- A tab is shown for each of your active processing accounts, so you can review each one separately.
- The Summary shows the line items that actually occurred in the period, grouped as credits or debits, with a total line and a count for each.
- The Transaction ledger breaks those down by the processor's date and description, each with a credit or debit entry and a running balance, and a total line at the bottom.
- Ledger rows that relate to transactions, such as payments received, returns and chargebacks, show how many transactions they cover and link straight through to the Transactions page filtered to them. Deposits and withdrawals are not linked because they don't relate to transactions.
- Export downloads the ledger to CSV in the order shown, including the processor's activity reference.
- Access requires the processor activity permission.
Conversations
- Conversation settings > Settings now has an Options section with two settings:
- Only staff can send messages: parents can read the conversation but the message box is hidden for them, so only organization administrators in the conversation can post.
- Only staff messages are visible to parents: a parent sees only the organization administrators' messages plus their own, and never other parents' messages.
- App admins continue to see all messages and can always send if they join the conversation.
- The Add participants dialog now starts with a choice of Individual accounts (the existing behaviour, selected by default), By program, or All organization parents. This replaces the old targeting settings and makes it much faster to build a broadcast audience.
- The conversations list now has an Organization filter for staff and administrators. Selecting an organization scopes both the list and the Open, Closed and My tab counts. The filter isn't shown in the parent inbox.
- Each option in the settings dialog now has a hint below it explaining exactly what it does.
- The message box now always states who can send and who can see the conversation, worded for the reader: a settings summary for organization administrators, and a clear warning to parents about who else can read what they type.
Transactions
- Selecting transactions on the Transactions list now offers an Edit transactions wizard that can update the receipt eligibility and/or the payment note for all selected transactions at once. Each field is opt-in, so anything you don't tick is left unchanged.
- Failed transactions are always skipped for receipting, because a failed payment produces no receipt, while notes still apply to them. The results step reports receipting and notes separately, so you can see exactly what was applied and what was skipped.
- The option is available to users with Invoice transaction write permission or better on all of the selected transactions.
- The transaction dialog now has an Edit button next to the payment/refund note, opening an Edit note dialog so the note can be updated without going through a bulk action.
- A failed transaction can no longer be marked as receipted anywhere in the app. On the transaction dialog the Transaction is receipted field now shows a read-only No for failed transactions, and existing failed transactions have been updated to match.
Students and imports
- The student import can now optionally include the remaining standard student fields (date of birth, gender and emergency contact phone) alongside the existing name and custom identifier columns. Rows that leave them out import exactly as before.
- New TUIO Student ID and TUIO Parent ID columns let you enrol a student you already have into another program. When a TUIO Student ID is supplied, that student's standard fields are updated from the row and a new enrollment is created into the program selected for the import, instead of creating a duplicate student. Blank cells leave the existing values alone.
- If no TUIO Parent ID is given, a parent already linked to that student and matching the supplied name is reused; otherwise a new parent is created.
- Columns are now matched by their header name, so the order of columns in your file no longer matters and files that omit the optional columns still import. A downloadable sample template with an example row is provided, and columns are grouped student-first then parent.
- Results now call out the new outcomes: a student already enrolled in the selected program is skipped as a duplicate, and an unrecognised TUIO Student ID or Parent ID fails that row and is highlighted.
Programs and enrollments
- Archiving a program now archives its active and pending enrollments for you, instead of having to bulk-archive every enrollment page by page first and only then archive the program.
- The Archive action opens a wizard that first confirms what will be archived, then shows the results: how many enrollments were archived and whether the program itself was archived.
- It works on a best-effort basis: an enrollment blocked by an in-progress transaction is skipped and reported, and the program stays active while any remain. The results step has a View enrollments link that opens the enrollments list filtered to that program so you can see exactly which ones are left.
- Because enrollments are archived as part of the action, it requires the enrollment write permission whenever there are enrollments to archive.
- The wizard is available from both the Programs list and the program's Settings page.
Payment plans
- Add payment plan on a program is now a Create button, matching the rest of the app.
- The payment plan's State field has been removed, and early bird availability has been replaced with optional Available from and Available to dates. Set either, both, or neither.
- The Set payment plan & discount dialog now shows each plan's available period. App admins and organization administrators can select any payment plan regardless of its dates.
- Parents are only offered payment plans that are valid for them today: plans with no dates set, or where today falls inside the available from/to window. This applies in the parent experience and when selecting a payment plan during a registration.
Other
- The Parent > Credits list now has an Export button that downloads the credits to CSV, in the same order as the list and honouring the filters you have applied, including Show deleted.
- The Parent > Credits list now has a Credit types filter, a multi-select of the organization's active credit types, including types used for imports.
- Credits that came from a credit import previously had every field locked. The tax receipting setting can now be changed on those credits, while the import-owned details such as the name, amount, type and criteria stay locked.
- Re-importing an existing credit with a smaller value now reduces the credit to that new value, but never below the amount already applied. The applied amount is left untouched. For example, a $1,000 credit with $500 already applied that is re-imported at $200 comes down to $500; the same credit with only $100 applied comes down to the full $200.
- Students > Export student and parent data now includes a Student Custom Identifier column, directly after Student ID.
- The keyword search on the Parents list now also matches a parent's linked students by name, so you can find a parent when you only know the student.
- Organization Notification settings now has a Recovery fee notifications field where you can nominate additional people to be notified about recovery fees. They are copied on the same email that already goes to the fee billing contact, who remains the primary recipient.
- The single registration submitted email that went to the parent and the notified administrators together, carrying both view links and exposing everyone's email address to each other, has been split into two separate emails.
- The Date on an invoice's detail page now shows in Eastern time, matching what the invoice list already showed.
- The Paid column in the invoice CSV export is now actually converted to Eastern time, as its column heading states.
- Fixed removing an applied credit allocation creating a refund transaction that didn't reverse the revenue and tax recorded by the original credit payment, which left revenue and tax overstated on reports and accounting exports. Affected refunds since March have been corrected.
- Fixed archiving an enrollment, student or program that had an applied credit allocation creating two refund transactions for the same credit.
- Fixed the Transaction debit cash GL account not saving when updating GL accounts for a single transaction. It worked only when using the filtered selection.
- Fixed a false "This enrollment has past due invoices" note when using Update & notify on an enrollment whose payment had been switched to upfront. An upfront payment can never be past due, and its dates are now cleared when the payment is converted.
- Fixed the audit entry for Allow account to add payment methods for parents describing an unrelated change instead of the setting that was actually changed.
- Fixed the Enrollments and Registrations tabs on a program being visible to users without the enrollment read and registration read permissions respectively. No data was shown to users.
- Fixed the payments list and its actions area on Set payment plan & discount not stretching to the full width of the dialog.
- Fixed the results count and sort by options not appearing beneath the tax receipt batch list.
