a. How to Filter and Export Your TUIO Invoice Data to Excel
In this article, we show how the TUIO data can be filtered and then utilized for different reports and purposes: accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, etc.
Some of the Helpful Filters Offered
TUIO offers a variety of filters, all accessible by clicking the Filters button on the Invoice tab screen.
While most of them are self-explanatory, here are the most widely used filters, with their use cases described:
- Program: allows you to filter by classroom or by any type of program you bill for (field trip, hot lunches, etc.). The Program Group filter can be applied instead if you are using program groupings.
- Paid Date From / Paid Date To: if you do your books based on when your parents paid you, this filter is essential as it allows you to filter for when they made a transaction (or when you marked their invoices as paid manually for cash and cheque payments).
- Payment Method: filter invoices based on how they were paid/are scheduled to be paid (Credit Card, Bank account, etc.).
- Show Only Overdue Invoices: a quick and easy way to track what invoices are past due.
- Issued Invoices: allows you to see only invoices that are issued, the ones that are unissued (upcoming invoices, even if they are not yet out for payment), or all invoices (issued or unissued).
- Search bar: you can type text into the search bar to filter for invoices that contain the text. For example, you can search for a family's name, or a specific invoice name.
Export your Data to Excel
Exporting your TUIO data to excel is as easy as clicking the Export button if you want to download all of it. However, as you grow your usage of TUIO and use the export for more specific purposes (monthly bookkeeping, tracking down accounts receivables, etc.), it is likely that you will want to filter it in TUIO first and then export it.
