How to Bulk Edit Payment Plans and Split Amounts Between Parents
This video walks you through the key points — it’s the best way to understand everything in just a couple of minutes.
Splitting Payments Between Multiple Parents
In situations where tuition payments need to be divided between more than one party—such as separated or divorced parents—TUIO allows for flexible payment splits (e.g., 50/50, 70/30, etc.).
Step 1: Create the First Enrollment
-
Go to the Enrollments tab and click Create Enrollment.
-
Select the student (or enter the student’s name) and enter the parent information for the first parent.
- Select the desired Program.
-
Click Create to create the enrollment.
Step 2: Create the Second Enrollment for the Same Student
-
Return to the Enrollments tab and click Create Enrollment again.
-
Select the same student, and select the second parent.
- If the second parent isn’t already linked to the student, navigate to the Students tab, click the three-dot menu next to the student’s name, and select Add Parent.
- Select the same Program and click Create to create the second enrollment.
Now, the same student will appear with two separate enrollment records, each associated with a different parent.
Step 3: Assign Payment Splits
-
Select Set Payment Plan for each parent’s enrollment.
-
Use the bulk edit option to adjust the tuition amounts based on the agreed-upon split.
Each parent will have their own TUIO account, where they can view invoices and make payments for their assigned share.
