Parent Portal Guide for TUIO Admins
Understanding the steps parents follow to activate their account, set up payments, and submit forms is essential to helping them onboard successfully, ensuring timely payments, and addressing common questions.
Parent Welcome Video
We recommend sharing our Parent Welcome Video with new families. This video walks parents through the setup process step by step and provides a tour of the parent portal.
As an admin, you can also view the parent experience at any time. From your dashboard, click the three dots to the right of Organization Experience and select Switch to Parent Experience. This allows you to:

Explore the available tabs parents see

Test the system as a parent (e.g., enrollments, registrations, and invoices)
Account Activation
New parents invited to an enrollment must activate their account through the link in their invitation email.

Parents cannot sign in or access invoices until activation is complete.
- If a parent can’t locate their activation email, you can send a new invitation.
Payment Setup
Payment setup is a key onboarding step. Here’s how it works:

Parents are prompted to set up payment from the Enrollments tab, confirming automated payment for both current and future invoices.

Parents cannot set up payment from the Invoices tab.

For registration invoices, payment must be set up during registration or later from the Registrations tab.

Adding a payment method from the Payment Methods tab alone does not confirm payment for invoices. If parents do this without linking it to their enrollment, their invoices will remain unpaid.

In these cases, you can send them a reminder or link the payment method on their behalf.

Parents may change their payment method on an enrollment at any time.
Account Information
From the My Account tab, parents can:
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, parents need to click Confirm on the associated enrollment to reprocess it.
Invoices
Parents can view details of any charge by visiting the Invoices tab in their portal.
Forms
If forms are assigned directly to the parent, they will appear under the Forms tab in the To Do section.
Donations
If enabled by your organization, parents can make donations at any time through the Donations tab in their portal.
