f. How to Update Enrollments and Add/Move Students to Programs in TUIO
Do you have existing students in TUIO that you want to add or move to a different program? The 'Update Enrollment' feature lets you do just that without having to manually re-enroll students.
The Difference Between Adding and Moving
The 'Update Enrollment' feature lets you do 2 distinct things:
- Add component: add an existing student to another program. For example, your student(s) is/are enrolled in your tuition program, but you want to enroll them into a field trip or after school care program. In this case, you want to add this/these student(s) to another program without deleting them from your tuition program.
- Move component: move an existing student to another program. This adds the student to a different program and archives/deletes them from the program they were in previously.
How to Add/Move Students in TUIO
To use this feature, go to your 'Enrollments' tab and select the relevant students. Once that is done, you can click the ACTIONS button at the bottom of the screen and click Update Enrollments. You can also do this for a single student by clicking on the 3 vertical dots on the right hand side of each row.
One the next screen, you can decide if you want to keep the students in the existing program (Add) or archive/delete them from the existing program (Move). You can then click Add, or Add & Set Payment Plan/Discount if we want to assign a discount or make a payment plan decision on behalf of the parents.
By contrast, if you had a student graduating from one classroom to the next, you would select 'Archive existing Enrollment' in order to to Archive the student in the existing program (so no future invoices will be issued) while adding him/her to the new program.
