a. How to Notify Parents
You've created a program, set up payment plan options, and added students to it. You've also applied discounts and custom pricing where applicable, but now you need to notify parents of the enrollment so that they can make any choice they need and get set up for payment. We cover these steps below.
Notifying Parents
Importing students in TUIO does not automatically notify the corresponding parents because there are certain situations where you will need to adjust pricing before doing so.
It is easy to see what parents (if any) have been notified for a given program, by going to your Enrollments tab and looking in the corresponding 'Parent' column, or searching in the filters button under 'Parent Notified'. When a parent has not been notified, a red label 'Not notified' is visible directly under their name.
So how do you notify parents?
- 1
- Notify In Bulk
To notify all the parents in your sample (in this example, for the Casa Tuition program), check the box in the column header to bulk select all the Enrollments.
Note that checking this box only selects all the students visible on the page. If your list of students is large, they may not all appear on the same page, and you will first need to increase the number of entries per page by clicking the number of entries shown (highlighted in yellow in the caption below). Choose a number large enough to contain all the results, or you'll have to go to the next page of results and repeat the steps to notify everyone contained in your list of results.

- Notify On A Case-By-Case Basis
Once you have selected your students, click the drop down menu next to the box in column header, and click Notify Parents. This triggers email notifications to your parents, and if it's the first enrollment, the activation link to invite them to TUIO.
While you could use the 1st method even for one student (or just a few), it is worth knowing that you could also click the three dots on each student line to notify the parents of each student one-by-one.
